Statistics: Russia’s inflation accelerates to 0.23% June 25–Jul 1
MOSCOW, Jul 6 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.23% on the week from June 25 through July 1 from zero on the previous week, and inflation has reached 11.77% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.
The prices for noodles grew by 0.56%, for margarine by 0.47%, salt by 0.38%, cookies by 0.19%. The sugar prices dropped by 2.23%, the buckwheat ones 0.7%, eggs and children food preserves 0.4%.
The prices for fruit and vegetables fell by 3.8% on average, including the prices for cabbage that decreased by 13.8%, for potatoes by 7%, for beets by 6.3%, tomatoes 5.6%, for onions by 3.6%. The apple prices went up by 0.1%.
The price for gasoline and for diesel fuel remained almost flat.
